We’re looking for judges for our sticker design contest!

Help decide which designs win this year’s Planet Youth Sticker Design Contest. It’s easy! You need to be a youth between the ages of 11 and 19.

As a judge, you’ll:

  • Review sticker design submissions by youth in your age group (ages 11-14 or 15-19).
  • Share your opinions in a kind and respectful way in one fun virtual session‑minute virtual session.
  • Help choose the winning designs using an easy scoring guide.
  • Receive a $30 honorarium for your time, or you can have your time counted as volunteer hours toward your required 40 hours.

Being a judge is a great way to get involved and help create something cool for the community!

Deadline to apply: March 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST

  • You’re 11–19 years old and you live or go to school in the Nipissing District.
  • You didn’t submit a design in the Sticker Design Contest.
  • You don’t have a sibling who entered in your age category (11-14 years or 15-19 years).
  • You have parent/guardian permission if you’re 15 years old or younger.
  • You can join a virtual meeting. The meeting will be over Microsoft Teams, but you do not need a Microsoft Teams account to join.

Youth of all identities, abilities, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply to be a judge.

We’re selecting:

  • up to 5 youth aged 11–14
  • up to 5 youth aged 15–19

In your application, you’ll be asked to include a short 2–4 sentence blurb about why you would make a great judge. (Some questions to help you write your blurb: What interests you about judging? Why do you want to be involved? What strengths would you bring?)

Availability matters! Judges need to have availability to participate in one virtual 1.5 hour meeting between March 5 and March 11. Select all timeslots that work for you from the list of possible timeslots:

  • Thurs. March 5 — 4:30-6:00 PM
  • Thurs. March 5 — 6:30-8:00 PM
  • Sat. March 7 — 1:00-2:30 PM
  • Sun. March 8 — 1:00-2:30 PM
  • Mon. March 9 — 4:30-6:00 PM
  • Mon. March 9 — 6:30-8:00 PM
  • Wed. March 11 — 4:30-6:00 PM

Only one time slot for each age group will be chosen based on overall availability.

To receive the honorarium, you need to be selected as a judge and attend the full virtual judging session. Each judge may choose one of the following options to receive their honorarium:

  • Pick it up from the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit after March 16, 2026;
  • Provide their legal name and mailing address to have the honorarium shipped to them in mid to late March;
  • Pick it up in person at the sticker unveiling event in April.
