Key Findings

Nine high schools in the Nipissing District took part in the Planet Youth Survey in April and May 2024. Participants were primarily grade 10 students that attended school on the day of the survey, with some schools including grades 9 and 11 to meet the minimum count for anonymity. The total response rate was 72%. 

The surveys were conducted during class time using an anonymous online questionnaire. Participation was voluntary, and students were free to answer the survey in whole or in part, skip any question at will, and change their minds about participation at any time. The survey will be repeated again in 2026 and 2028.
